Chisa Marie
In this powerful season finale of Anomalous Black Women, host Bina Banks & Dr. Tonya Johnson close out Melanin, Magic & Manifestation: Healing Forward, Resilience & Joy with a soul-deep conversation about rest, boundaries, and becoming whole again.
Joined by Chisa Marie, retired U.S. Air Force veteran, certified health and life coach, and embodiment of unapologetic living, this episode explores what happens when Black women stop performing strength and start choosing themselves.
Together, they unpack:
• The emotional cost of always being “the strong one” • Why rest is not laziness; it’s resistance • Releasing generational survival patterns • Learning to sit with yourself without fear • Navigating motherhood, co-parenting, and self-trust • Protecting your peace without guilt • Healing without explaining yourself
This conversation is honest, tender, funny, and deeply affirming. It reminds us that we don’t have to earn rest, justify boundaries, or apologize for choosing peace. Healing doesn’t have to be loud; it can be soft, slow, and sacred.
If you’ve ever felt exhausted from carrying too much, holding it together for everyone else, or silencing your own needs, this episode is your permission slip to exhale.
✨ Rest is not the reward. ✨ Rest is the revolution.
